Our Rosary Society will be holding their Annual Cake Sale next weekend, November 10/11 after all Masses in the church vestibule. There will be a wine basket raffle and a boutique rable. We ask all parishioners to participate by baking, bringing, and buying cakes so that this fundraiser will be a success.
The St. Francis Xavier Spirituality Committee will present another Faith in Film event on Thursday evening, November 15th at 7:00PM in the rectory basement when we screen the documentary, Won't You Be My Neighbor? The 90 minute film released this year is about the life, philosophy, and legacy of Fred Rogers, the longtime host of the children's program Mister Rogers, Neighborhood. Admission is free!
On Wednesday, November 21st at 6 pm St. Francis Xavier parishioners will gather in the rectory to make turkey sandwiches and snacks to distribute to the hungry in our community for Thanksgiving. We are seeking volunteers to donate food and supplies or help us assemble the bags on the evening of the 21st. We would love for you to join us in this effort.
If you're interested in getting involved, please email Patrice Kugler.
We are all called to be holy. Join Father Bill on Monday, October 15th at 7:30 PM in the rectory for a presentation on Pope Francis's exhortation on our common call to holiness, Gaudete et Exsultate (Rejoice and Be Glad). Pope Francis says that his goal in writing this document is to help everyone hear the call to holiness in his or her particular situation in life. He proposes a practical pathway that takes into account the risks, challenges and opportunities that lie before us.
