Dear Parishioners,Daily broadcast of the Mass has concluded since Father Gabriel has been transferred to another parish. We are extremely thankful to Father Gabriel for his commitment to bringing the healing presence of Christ virtually during this unprecedented time. This Sunday, June 7th, we offer to all parishioners that they tune into Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph’s on NET TV. The Mass is broadcasted live on Sunday at 11:00 AM and can be viewed here: https://netny.tv/watch-now/.
Fr. John Gribowich has been newly appointed as administrator of St. Augustine and St. Francis Xavier. He will be posting a welcome video on both parishes' websites and Facebook pages this Wednesday, June 10th at 9:00 AM. He and others at both parishes will offer reflections on the websites and Facebook pages regularly during “Phase 1” of our parish re-opening plan.
Phase 1 of the re-opening plan is currently in place and as such both churches are open for individual prayer: St. Augustine’s is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. St. Francis Xavier is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. If you plan to visit the church during these times, be sure to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing norms. As of now, we do not know when on-site Masses will resume. During these troubled times, prayer can be the most effective means for self-reflection and initiating change within ourselves. If you are able to visit the church and feel safe in venturing out, we encourage you to do so.
Thank you for your patience as we journey through this pandemic and civil unrest in our city, country, and world. We ask for your continued patience as we implement the reopening plan and transition into new parish leadership.
