    February 3 is the Feast of Saint Blaise. We will continue the tradition of honoring this Saint, who is the patron and protector of those afflicted with ailments of the throat. Blessing of the throats will take place after the 9AM Mass on Saturday February 3rd.

  • FAITH IN FILM: SUNDAY AT THE MOVIES

    Our next movie in our Faith in Film series will be Of Gods and Men (PG-13) on Sunday, February 4th at 2:00pm in the rectory basement screening room. This award-winning 2010 film is based on the true story of a group of Trappist monks living in an impoverished Algerian community who are faced with whether to stay or leave in the face of terrorism. A short discussion will follow.

  • RITE OF ACCEPTANCE AND WELCOME

    This weekend we celebrate the Rite of Acceptance and Welcome for this year's candidates in the RCIA Process who are preparing to receive the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. The parish claims these candidates by signing them with the sign of the Cross and presenting them with the Holy Bible, the foundation of the faith in which they wish to grow.

    Preparing for full initiation through Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist are Gina Ekwealor and Clement Salomon.

  • CHILDREN'S TOUR OF ST. FRANCIS XAVIER - POSTPONED!

    On Sunday, February ?? after the 9:30AM Mass, the Liturgy Committee is pleased to conduct our second Children's Tour of St. Francis Xavier Church. This year's tour will have a theme covering the sacraments that children receive; Baptism, Reconciliation, Communion and Confirmation. Each sacrament will be presented in the order a child receives them, and in the appropriate section of the church where the sacrament is celebrated.

  • LESSONS AND CAROLS

    On Monday, December 11th at 7:30pm we will gather for our annual evening of Christmas music.
    This program includes brief Advent and Christmas readings from Scripture, music of the season sung by the choir, and
    communal singing of traditional Christmas carols. After the program our outdoor Parish Christmas Tree and Nativity will
    be blessed. We hope you will join us!
